Building a greener future…

This is the first of many articles that will be posted to address the current views and experiences with Solar. The biggest problem I have found from my own personal experiences is the near total lack of willingness to “go green” from builders and contractors . Customers want it, their builders don’t even KNOW they want it, and most of the customers questioned were willing to pay MORE to obtain it, it would seem to me that these builders are turning a blind eye to ways to increase their own profits and doing a disservice to their customers.

Well, what exactly is green building anyway? Green Building is the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings and their sites use and harvest energy, water and materials.

It is concerned with reducing building impacts on human health and the environment through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance and removal – encompassing the entire building life cycle.

Building Green is a broad set of practices which when implemented correctly can improve the quality of living for not only you and your own family, but for every family throughout the world.

No No, I don’t think 42 is a good answer for THAT question either. However anyone who is a Douglas Adams fan will get the joke. Honestly though, Solar Direct is quickly rising as an up and coming solar wholesaler/retailer. We are currently looking to partner up with people interested in growing a global network of installers for solar technologies.

I like to figure out how to do everything myself, but there are many people out there who are not as tech savvy, or mechanically inclined who would rather not dismantle their toasters.

We have installers, and we can install the equipment we sell in most areas. However with our current growth rate we are going to need a lot more installers very soon, or another solution. I dunno, perhaps 42 is the answer, to the number of questions the original question will bring up.
